About us

At SpARC, we are building a better tomorrow

SpARC (Spiritual Applications Research Centre), established in 1995, is the research wing of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya (PBKIVV) and is affiliated with Rajyoga Education & Research Foundation (RERF). The Centre is dedicated to exploring and experimenting with the real-life applications of Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga Meditation for creating happier, peaceful, and value-based living.

SpARC promotes systematic and interdisciplinary research to understand the impact of spirituality on health, education, environment, science, technology, and social development. It encourages collaborations between scientists, academicians, and spiritual practitioners to bridge the gap between inner experience and outer expression. Through publications, projects, and conferences, SpARC nurtures an evidence-based understanding of how Rajyoga meditation and lifestyle can enrich both individuals and society.

Modus Operandi

SpARC operates as a Research wing. Researchers participate through Special Interest Group (SIG), which hold discussions via electronic forums. They also gather for meetings at the Headquarters in Mount Abu and at other convenient venues as required. These meetings take the form of informal dialogues, seminars, discussions, and workshops.

In addition, an annual conference for researchers from all disciplines is organized at the International Headquarters, Mount Abu, to highlight how spirituality can be inculcated into professional and personal life to enhance research skills. Similar programs are also organized in different cities across India throughout the year. Institutions and individuals with relevant expertise who share the goals of SpARC are invited to form collaborative links

Local Chapters

"Since the inception of the projects in 1995, many BK sisters and brothers from around the world have attended the SpARC meetings at the Brahma Kumaris Headquarters in Mount Abu. These meetings have been valuable occasions for 'SpARClers' to present their papers and share knowledge.

Over time, several Special Interest Group (SIG) were formed, and in August 1999, the idea of Local Chapters (LCs) — geographical groups of 'SpARClers'  was introduced. Local SpARClers meet regularly to share expertise, engage in deep churning, and undertake research activities more effectively. The progress has been remarkable, with more than 75 LCs established across India. With the formation of LCs, SpARC research activities have gained strong momentum
